Three Killed, Nearly 20 Injured as Private Bus Overturns in Rajasthan
At least three passengers were killed and nearly 20 others injured after a private bus travelling from Ahmedabad to Madhya Pradesh overturned upon hitting a divider in Rajasthan’s Kota in the early hours of Thursday.
Police said the accident occurred near the Nayagaon overbridge under the RK Puram police station area around 12:30 a.m. The impact caused the front glass of the bus to shatter, throwing three passengers travelling in the cabin onto the road, where they were fatally run over by a speeding truck.
Following the incident, Kota City Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam, Fire Officer Rakesh Vyas, and emergency teams rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation, shifting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
