A tense situation unfolded at Chennai International Airport when a passenger opened an emergency exit door while the aircraft was taxiing on the runway.
The incident involved an Air Arabia flight carrying 231 passengers that had arrived from Sharjah early Sunday morning.
According to officials, a 34-year-old male passenger from Pudukkottai allegedly opened the emergency exit door while the aircraft was moving along the taxiway, the path connecting the runway and terminal.

The sudden act caused panic among passengers and crew, though no injuries were reported. Airport authorities and airline staff quickly intervened to manage the situation.
Officials have launched an investigation into the incident, including possible violations of aviation safety norms.
