Dharamshala: Authorities launched a major rescue and relief operation after reports of a paragliding accident in the Guran Dhar area of the Baijnath subdivision.

Officials said the remote mountainous region lacked road connectivity, prompting the government to seek helicopter assistance for the rescue mission.

With the support of an Indian Air Force helicopter, both stranded paragliders were successfully rescued.

Arun Singh, a resident of Rajasthan, sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Another paraglider, Ranjan Gupta, was found trapped in a tree and was also safely brought down during the special operation.
