West Bengal CM to Review Governance in Purba Medinipur District

Suvendu Adhikari is set to chair an important administrative meeting with senior officials of Purba Medinipur on Sunday evening to review developmental and governance-related matters in the district.

According to officials, the meeting will include the district magistrate, superintendent of police, sub-divisional officers and other senior administrative personnel. The review session is expected to begin around 6 pm.

Officials indicated that a wide range of administrative and developmental issues will be discussed during the meeting, including infrastructure, law and order, industrial growth and public welfare initiatives in the district.

Pradip Bijli said that issues concerning Haldia are likely to dominate the discussions. Haldia, one of West Bengal’s key industrial hubs, plays a significant role in the state’s economy due to its port, petrochemical industries and manufacturing activities.

The meeting comes amid ongoing efforts by the West Bengal government to strengthen administrative coordination and accelerate developmental work across districts.
