Metro services on Kolkata Metro’s Blue Line were disrupted for around one hour on Friday evening following an alleged suicide attempt at Rabindra Sarobar Metro station, according to Metro Railway officials. The incident occurred at approximately 7:57 pm, prompting an immediate response from railway authorities.
To manage the disruption, Metro Railway operated truncated services between Maidan and Dakshineswar stations in both directions. As a result, train operations on the southern section of the Blue Line remained suspended until normal services could be restored.
Officials worked to restore normal operations after emergency procedures were completed. The incident caused inconvenience to commuters during the evening rush hour, while authorities continued to monitor the situation and resume full services at the earliest.
