The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday questioned Sujit Bose for nearly nine hours in connection with its ongoing probe into the alleged civic body recruitment scam.

Bose arrived at the ED office located at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake, Kolkata, shortly before 10:30 am, accompanied by his son Samudra Bose and two legal representatives.

After the prolonged questioning, the minister told reporters that he had fully cooperated with investigators and responded to all queries. He added that he would appear again if summoned but urged authorities not to harass him.

The ED is probing alleged irregularities in recruitment within civic bodies, and the questioning of the minister is seen as a key development in the ongoing investigation.
