Mamata Banerjee on Monday led a six-kilometre roadshow in south Kolkata as campaigning entered its final hours for the second and last phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections.

The All India Trinamool Congress chief was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose and party candidates Aroop Biswas and Debasish Kumar.

Aroop Biswas is contesting from Tollygunge Assembly constituency, while Debasish Kumar is the candidate from Rashbehari Assembly constituency.

Large numbers of people gathered along roadsides, rooftops, and balconies to watch the procession and wave at Banerjee.

She responded by greeting supporters with folded hands while walking briskly through the route, with party leaders reportedly struggling to keep pace.
