Fire Affects Sealdah-Budge Budge Train Services
A fire broke out in several shanties located beside Akra Santoshpur railway station on the Eastern Railway Sealdah-Budge Budge railway route on Saturday, disrupting train services on the line.
A fire brigade official said the blaze was reported at around 1:55 PM, following which four firefighting engines were rushed to the location to contain the flames.
According to initial reports, no injuries have been reported in the incident.
Railway services on the affected stretch were impacted as emergency response teams worked to control the fire and ensure passenger safety.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are monitoring the situation.
