Thunderstorms Likely in Several Odisha Districts Amid Rising Heat
Odisha experienced heatwave conditions on Tuesday, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting that hot and humid weather would continue in several parts of the state.
According to the IMD’s Bhubaneswar centre, districts likely to face hot and humid conditions on April 22 include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
The weather department also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds in parts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput among other areas.
