Devotees gathered in large numbers along the banks of the Vaigai River in Madurai to witness the sacred entry of Lord Kallazhagar into the river, a highlight of the grand Chithirai Festival.
The centuries-old ritual marks a significant moment in the festival, symbolizing the divine journey of Lord Kallazhagar (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) from Alagar Kovil to Madurai.
