Nand Kishore Yadav has proposed organising block- and village-level camps to facilitate the issuance of disability certificates, aiming to improve access to welfare benefits.

The suggestion was made during a review meeting with the Department of Social Welfare at Lok Bhavan, where the Governor emphasised the need for better outreach and coordination with the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The initiative is intended to ensure that persons with disabilities can more easily access government schemes and entitlements without facing logistical hurdles.

Officials noted that decentralised camps could significantly reduce barriers for beneficiaries, especially in rural and remote areas of Nagaland.

The proposal reflects a broader push to strengthen inclusive governance and ensure that welfare services reach all eligible citizens effectively.
