Indian Oil Assures Uninterrupted LPG Supply in Assam
Indian Oil Corporation has assured that there is no disruption in the supply of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders across Assam. Addressing the media in Guwahati, Executive Director Nitin Bhatnagar said gas production and supply operations are functioning normally at all four refineries in the state.
He stated that 84 per cent of consumers in Assam have adopted the newly introduced e-KYC system for LPG bookings. Delivery Authentication Code compliance has also increased significantly, rising to 72 per cent from 37 per cent two months ago.
Consumers have been encouraged to use digital booking methods and share the authentication code during delivery to ensure transparent and safe distribution. Currently, around 93 lakh consumers are receiving regular fuel supplies across the state.
Responding to complaints of overpricing, Indian Oil said notices have been issued to 88 distributors, six have been suspended, and three individuals have been arrested.
