Oscar-winning actor Natalie Portman will star alongside Jonathan Bailey in the upcoming psychological thriller Pumping Black.

The film is being directed by Mimi Cave, who previously gained attention for directing the thriller Fresh.

According to reports, the story is set in the intense and highly competitive world of professional cycling.

Jonathan Bailey will portray Taylor Mace, a cyclist nearing the latter stage of his career at the age of 35 and struggling to remain relevant in the demanding sport.

Natalie Portman is expected to play Andrea Lathe, a doctor whose ambition for victory and influence leads her to mentor Taylor as he attempts to compete at the highest level.

As the race toward the Tour de France intensifies, Taylor is forced to take increasingly darker and more dangerous steps to conceal a secret that could threaten his future.
