Fresh off his Oscar win for Best Actor, Michael B. Jordan is set to produce and potentially star in a big-screen adaptation of the globally popular video game franchise Battlefield.

According to reports, filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie, known for directing the last four Mission: Impossible films, has been attached to write, direct, and produce the project.

Electronic Arts, the publisher of the long-running Battlefield series, is also onboard as a producer.

The film adaptation marks a major step in bringing one of gaming’s most successful action franchises to the big screen.
