Akanksha Dubey’s Mother Presses for CBI Inquiry in Court

The Allahabad High Court on Friday issued notices to two accused in the death case of Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey while hearing a petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the matter.

The case came up for hearing in Prayagraj, where the court fixed May 22 as the next date for further proceedings. The judgment in the matter was initially expected to be delivered on Friday. However, the court observed that fresh hearings on certain points were necessary before passing any final order.

The plea seeking a CBI investigation was filed by Akanksha Dubey’s mother, who has alleged that her daughter was murdered. In the petition, she named Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh as accused persons allegedly involved in the actress’s death.
