NEET 2026 Held in Pen-and-Paper Mode Across 551 Cities

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the NEET (UG) 2026 examination today from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST) in pen-and-paper mode.

Candidates eligible for compensatory time under PwD/PwBD categories will be allowed to continue writing the exam until 6:00 PM.

This year’s NEET (UG) is being held on a massive scale, with approximately 22.79 lakh registered candidates appearing across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, at more than 5,432 centres.

To ensure smooth and secure conduct of the examination, over 2 lakh personnel have been deployed, making it one of the largest entrance examinations globally.

Authorities have put in place comprehensive arrangements, including strict security checks, invigilation protocols, and logistical coordination to manage the large number of candidates.
