Girls Outshine Boys in Uttarakhand Board Exams
Uttarakhand Board of School Education has declared the results of the High School and Intermediate examinations.
This year, the pass percentage for High School has been recorded at 92.10 per cent, while the Intermediate pass percentage stands at 85.11 per cent.
In the combined state merit list for High School, Akshat Gopal, a student of M.P. Hindu Inter College, secured the top position with 491 marks out of 500, achieving 98.20 per cent.
In the Intermediate examination, Geetika Pant of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Inter College and Sushila Mehndiratta of Bhanjuram Amar Inter College jointly secured first place with 490 marks out of 500, scoring 98 per cent.
Gender-wise results showed girls outperforming boys in both categories. In High School, the pass percentage of boys stood at 88.03 per cent, while girls recorded 96.07 per cent. In Intermediate, boys registered 81.93 per cent, compared to 88.09 per cent for girls.
The results reflect strong academic performance across the state, with girls continuing to lead in overall pass percentages.
