The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice outlining post-result review facilities for Class 12 students as part of its evaluation transparency measures.

According to the Board, students dissatisfied with their examination results will be able to use a two-stage review process.

In the first stage, students may apply online to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. These copies can be downloaded and reviewed by candidates to examine the marking and evaluation process.

CBSE stated that applications for scanned copies can be submitted online from May 19 to May 22. Students will be required to pay a fee of Rs 700 per subject for obtaining the scanned answer sheets.

In the second stage, students will be allowed to apply for verification of marks or seek re-evaluation of specific answers after reviewing the scanned copies. The Board said candidates can request corrections in case of discrepancies or seek reassessment based on the prescribed marking scheme.

Applications for verification and re-evaluation can be submitted between May 26 and May 29.

The Board said the system has been designed to ensure fairness, accountability, and transparency in the evaluation process while giving students an opportunity to review their assessed answer scripts.

CBSE conducts Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for lakhs of students across India and abroad each year, making the post-result review process an important component of the examination system.
