Bageerath, the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, was arrested on Saturday night in connection with a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

A senior police official confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused was subsequently produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.

In a statement issued after midnight, the Cyberabad Police said multiple police teams had been sent to locations including Karimnagar, New Delhi, and other places to trace and apprehend the accused.

Officials have not yet disclosed detailed information regarding the allegations in the case, citing the sensitive nature of investigations conducted under the POCSO Act.

The case is currently under investigation, and police are expected to continue collecting evidence and recording statements as part of the legal proceedings.
