Two Youths Held for Robbing Farmer of High-Value Seeds

Two youths have been arrested for allegedly snatching marigold seeds worth ₹7.78 lakh from a farmer after luring him from Karnataka to Jalna in Maharashtra under the pretext of a business deal, police said.

The accused were identified as Sunil Jagtap, 19, and Vaibhav Jagtap, 23, residents of Nivdunga village in Jafrabad tehsil of Jalna district.

According to Police Inspector Pankaj Jadhav, the duo allegedly contacted farmer Lokesh Devendrappa, 41, from Byadgi tehsil in Haveri district, posing as production managers of a seeds company and asked him to travel to Jalna.

Police said further investigation is underway into the case.
