Two Killed in Khandwa Car Crash, Police Suspect Deliberate Collision
Two people were killed in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district after a car carrying a woman’s family members was allegedly hit head-on and pushed into a ditch, police said. According to DIG Manoj Kumar Rai, the victims — the woman’s brother and mother — later died in hospital following the crash.
Police said initial reports claimed that the woman’s family was preventing her from leaving home, but on reaching the spot, officers found no such incident. Investigators later learned that the woman had previously been in a relationship with a tile shop owner. Upon learning that she had returned to her village, the man allegedly drove to the scene, resulting in the collision.
Authorities have conducted an inquest and said foul play is suspected, indicating a possible intent to kill. Legal action is being initiated against the accused.
