Eleven accused arrested from Punjab and Delhi

On Delhi Police Special Cell busted an inter-state Pakistan ISI-sponsored espionage-arms-terror module, Additional CP, Special Cell Pramod Singh Kushwaha says, “Teams from the Special Cell have busted two distinct modules that shared a single handler operating from the background, a Pakistani ISI operative, who, along with several BKI (Babbar Khalsa International) operatives, was running this entire network. From their possession, approximately nine CCTV cameras, which had been installed at various locations, have been recovered.

These were solar-powered CCTV cameras, and their video feeds were being transmitted directly to Pakistan via SIM cards. In addition to these, four pistols were recovered; these weapons had been brought in through cross-border trafficking and arms smuggling channels. The funds generated from these illicit activities were being utilised to purchase the cameras, specifically for acquiring and installing the CCTV units.

Primarily, the cameras they had installed were located in Punjab, Rajasthan and Jammu. The cameras were deployed in these regions, and the individuals who have been apprehended are primarily youths from Punjab, though the group also includes some individuals from Delhi… They had conducted reconnaissance on several security installations and police facilities with the intention of hurling grenades at them. However, they were apprehended before they could carry out any such acts… Investigations are currently underway regarding the potential involvement of several other individuals as well. We will share further details at the appropriate stage of the investigation.
