Dwarka Police Bust Heroin Supply Network, Two Arrested
In a major anti-drug crackdown under the campaign “Nashe Par Lagam, Desh Ko Salaam,” Delhi Police’s Dwarka District team has arrested two alleged heroin suppliers and recovered 123 grams of high-quality heroin valued at around ₹20 lakh. The arrests were made in Hastsal Vihar, Uttam Nagar, where police apprehended Pooja alias Barkha and her alleged supplier Nadim, both residents of Uttam Nagar.
Police said 56 grams of heroin were recovered from Pooja, while 67 grams were seized from Nadim. Authorities also confiscated ₹52,830 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Investigators stated that the duo mainly supplied narcotics to lower-income groups, including daily-wage workers, hawkers, and e-rickshaw drivers.
According to police, Nadim had earlier been released on bail in December 2025 in another NDPS case, while Pooja’s husband is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in a separate dacoity case. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Uttam Nagar Police Station, and further investigation is underway to identify other members of the network.
