Court Sentences Trackman in Khandwa Army Train Detonator Case

A railway court on Tuesday sentenced a railway employee to six years of rigorous imprisonment in connection with a 2024 case involving the stopping of a special army train by setting off a detonator on railway tracks in Khandwa district.

The court also imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on the accused.

According to a release issued by the Railway Protection Force, the court found railway trackman Sabir alias Shabbir guilty after examining witness statements and other evidence.

He was convicted under the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act and relevant provisions of the Railways Act. Authorities said the case related to a serious act that disrupted the movement of a special army train.
