Accused in Multiple Attacks Held in Joint Operation

Gurjinder Singh alias Baba Beant held; linked to multiple terror incidents in Punjab

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police has solved the Shambhu railway track blast case in Patiala with the arrest of Gurjinder Singh, a key associate of main executor Jagroop Singh.

According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, the accused was apprehended in a joint operation by SSOC Amritsar, Patiala Police, and CI Pathankot.

Preliminary investigations have revealed Gurjinder Singh’s involvement not only in the Shambhu blast but also in the Sirhind railway track explosion and a grenade attack on CIA Moga. Officials stated that these attacks were carried out under the direction of foreign-based handlers.

With this arrest and earlier recoveries, police confirmed that all three terror-related incidents in Moga, Sirhind, and Shambhu have now been successfully solved.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to dismantling terror networks and maintaining peace, safety, and security across the state.
