Commercial LPG users will face higher fuel costs from June 1 following a revision in cylinder prices announced by oil marketing companies. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by ₹42, taking the retail price to ₹3,113.50.

In Kolkata, the price hike is even steeper, with the cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder rising by ₹53.50 to ₹3,255.50. The revision is expected to impact businesses that rely heavily on LPG, including restaurants, hotels, catering services, and small commercial establishments.

Additionally, the price of 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders has been increased by ₹11. Following the revision, a 5-kg FTL cylinder will cost ₹821.50 in Delhi.

The revised rates came into effect on June 1 and are part of the periodic pricing adjustments made based on international energy prices, exchange rate movements, and market conditions.

Despite the increase in commercial LPG rates, domestic consumers have been spared any additional burden. Oil companies have announced that there is no change in the prices of household LPG cylinders, ensuring that residential cooking gas users continue to pay existing rates.

The latest revision highlights the differing pricing mechanisms for commercial and domestic LPG segments, with commercial rates generally reflecting market-linked adjustments more frequently than subsidized or regulated household cylinder prices.
