Dubai Municipality Unveils AI-Powered Pet Feeder Initiative!

Dubai Municipality has launched a new project called ‘Ehsan Stations’ to feed stray cats in Dubai while reducing plastic waste. These feeding machines are powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. They identify cats and provide them with the food they need. At the same time, the machine is designed to encourage the disposal of plastic bottles. When the public puts an empty plastic bottle into the machine, cat food will automatically pour into the tray at the bottom of the machine instead.

A total of 12 machines have been installed by Dubai Municipality in the first phase. Of these, 10 machines have been installed in public parks and 2 machines have been installed in the Dubai Holding complex. This prevents plastic bottles from being thrown away in public places and sends them for recycling. At the same time, it also ensures that street cats get proper food.

The Dubai Media Office officially announced the project on International Women’s Day, March 8. Dubai Municipality is implementing similar projects to care for stray dogs and cats in Dubai, as the number of stray dogs is low and cats are high.
