New Tamil Nadu Government Announces Ministerial Responsibilities
C. Joseph Vijay has allocated portfolios for the new Tamil Nadu Cabinet, retaining several major departments including Home, Police, Municipal Administration, and Public Administration.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced the allocation of portfolios for the newly formed Cabinet headed by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
The Chief Minister has retained several important departments including Public Administration, General Administration, Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Forest Service, District Revenue Officers, Police, Home, Special Programme Implementation, Women Welfare, Youth Welfare, Welfare of Children, Welfare of Senior Citizens, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Municipal Administration, Urban Development, and Water Supply.
The Cabinet portfolio allocations are as follows:
- N. Anand has been assigned the Rural Development and Water Resources portfolio.
- Aadhav Arjuna will oversee the Public Works and Sports Development departments.
- Dr K.G. Arunraj has been entrusted with the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare portfolio.
- K.A Sengottaiyan has been appointed Minister for Finance.
- R. Nirmalkumar has been given charge of Energy Resources and Law.
The allocation of portfolios marks the formal operational beginning of the new state government, with departments expected to begin implementing administrative and policy priorities under the new leadership.
