Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh today, during which he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for major infrastructure and development projects across the state.
In the first leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will arrive in Varanasi, where he will attend a Mahila Sammelan in the evening and unveil projects worth around ₹6,350 crore. The projects span key sectors such as railways, roads, water supply, healthcare, tourism, and urban infrastructure.
He will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains and lay the foundation stone for the Varanasi–Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction third and fourth railway line project, which includes a rail-cum-road bridge over the Ganga River.
Tomorrow, PM Modi will offer darshan and perform pooja at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Later, in the second leg of the visit, he will travel to Hardoi to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway. The 594-kilometre-long six-lane access-controlled greenfield expressway has been built at a cost of over ₹36,000 crore and is expected to significantly improve connectivity and economic growth in the region.
