In a life-changing turn of events, a resident of Punjab has emerged as the latest millionaire in the Sikkim State Lottery’s evening draw. Gursharanjeet Singh, a resident of Jalandhar, has been officially declared the winner of the ₹1 Crore first prize for the Dear Prestige Tuesday Weekly Lottery. The announcement was made following the official draw conducted by the Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries.

The Winning Ticket Details

The winning ticket, numbered 98L 36855, was part of the 6:00 PM draw, which remains one of the most popular daily lottery events in the country. Priced at just ₹6, the “Dear” series of lotteries is a government-authorized program that provides transparent opportunities for participants across the 13 Indian states where lottery sales are legally permitted.

Gursharanjeet Singh, who purchased the ticket through a local agent, expressed his disbelief and joy upon verifying the results. Speaking to local reporters in Jalandhar, he shared that the prize money would be used to secure his family’s future and support his children’s higher education. Singh’s win adds to the growing list of “Bumper” winners from Punjab, a state known for its high participation in the Sikkim and Nagaland state-run lottery schemes.

While Gursharanjeet claimed the top spot with a ₹1 crore haul, the Tuesday draw also distributed several other significant prizes.

Consolation Prize: ₹1,000 (awarded to tickets with the same serial number in other series).

2nd Prize: ₹9,000 (multiple winners).

3rd Prize: ₹450.

4th Prize: ₹250.5th Prize: ₹120.
